Art by Nature - Ice & Snow

I grew up in the sub-tropics of the Australian east coast and spent the last 3 years living on the equator, then I moved straight into a Midwest U.S. winter! I was dreading the acclimatisation phase; getting out of bed early on frosty mornings to shovel my driveway, and having to drive on the other side of the road in the snow! Three months later I can report that I hire someone else to plough my drive, I have my local driver’s license and mother earth cut me some slack by sending in a mild winter. She is also sending me some beautiful days painted in white.

Update: It’s now been two years and I’m entering my third Midwest winter. While I haven’t grown any more fond of the cold, I have added to my collection of frosted beauty below. Enjoy!

These photos are so perfect. I was born in Ukraine and we always had winters with snow, and now I´m living in Valencia, Spain… lol 6 years in row I´m having a Christmas with +20C outside! I do get to see these snowy landscapes only when traveling! Shared on Twitter!

    Happy Holidays!

Thank you so much Anna. I’m sure you miss white Christmases. I love travelling back to Australia at this time of year and sitting on the beach for a week while it’s -15C in Ohio. I don’t think I’d get through the rest of winter otherwise! Thanks for the share and happy new year.
