New York street art is a high turnover business. New walls appear and disappear as fast as developers can tear down old buildings and replace them with shiny new ones. Not to mention the threat of other artists painting over your work, and legal walls being rotated through murals to keep the urban landscape fresh. This constant evolution is part of street art’s beauty, there is always something new to look at, a new artist to discover and a new technique to admire. This Art on the Street – New York City, brings you murals from my latest trip to the Big Apple along with a few of my favourite sculptural pieces thrown in.
If you love street art, there is more from New York over here, and an entire Art on the Street series taking you on a tour of some of the world’s best urban galleries – check it out!
